Emoji's not showing correctly!? was created by MDI

Hi all you clever guys!

I'm having trouble with some of the standard emojis to show up correctly in fcpx. Like the normal red heart shows up as a black heart with an exclamation mark afterwards. Some of the normal face emojis (smiley) show up just fine.

I'm using the emojis in onscreen text - via plugins, and have tried different plugins, but with same result.

Whats wrong?
