Can't see your movie. OS reports it is Flash but my firewall is military grade, there are millions of public dro-box-style sites I simply cannot see.

That's just a list of some guy named mullen and his endless skate movies. Which one, exactly?

when a video is part of a playlist, there's an option 'just clips URL', or 'playlist included'
_________

The effect is basically what 'Echo' does ... but, just basically, here in a very elaborated fashion!
No idea, if this is recorded in 'bullet time'-fashion (=many cams) or with one of those super-fast-moving robo-jibs (=one cam), but, if I remember correctly, AfterEffects offers a blending-mode called 'Warp' ... kinda 'content aware directional blur'.

Combined with some smart masking = only brights parts, this could create these 3-dimensional light streaks ...

No 'drop-filter-onto-it-done' effect... I dare to say.

Have done something similar a couple years ago. Simply dolly track in a circle. Highest frame rate you can get your hands on (we used a Phantom). Echo with motion blur. Lots of speed retiming and ramps. Easy to shoot, tedious in post, but a really nice effect. Relatively easy, no super computer needed. But you need to get that super fast frame rate to make it look right. It's all in the clarity of the slo-mo and speed ramps.

I'd say the motion blur is the result of either super sophisticated software (After Effects and some plugins come to mind, nothing like that in Apple's suite. Echo is a kludge but might get you some hint of the smears) or simply someone with the skills of a good cinematographer who knows his or her gear and can use shutter speeds to maximum creative effect.

Find the credits and ask the shooter or the creative director. Look for other things they have done and see if you can deconstruct their techniques.

The circular movement could be a combination of the camera on a track and a rotating platform.

... hahaha ... simple... no way, Mr Balser:

in the shown example, e.g. between frame# 968 and frame# 1061 = in less than 3sec the cam performs a full 360° circle...

do the math: let's assume a diameter of 5m or yards, shoes, fathoms, wotever, doesn't matter, it's a too low assumption anyhow, so you're telling me, you push a fully rigged Phantom, in constant speeds, around, with 12 miles an hour? ...

and it's in less than 3sec, cause it's slowmo, so it should be much, much faster. On a simple Dolly-track?

sorry, Ben, but your preferred "been there, done that" rhetorical figure sometimes creates ... astonishing results ...

They used approximately 100 cameras in a circle and shot it in a high frame rate. You can find a similar effect when searching bullet time and Matrix.

It looks like the motion blur was created in combination with photography and post.
Do a search for Steven Sebring you will find some cool info.
