Hi,
Hoping someone here might have a bit of advice. I edit wedding videos and I'd like to achieve a look similar to the one in this:
www.whiteballoonfilms.co.uk/aerial-video...-castle-in-scotland/
I can see there's clearly been some sort of filter/effect applied to give a soft-whiteish tinge to the footage but after much searching and attempts in FCPX I'm struggling to see how to achieve it.
Can anyone provide any help?
Thanks in advance.

well first impression is, clearly the bottom/blacks is set to... wow just 20%:
... no further idea about the 'dreamy' look, and risking the bride kills me
, I suspect some 'beauty filter', those who pick automatically skintones and blur them selectivly... several commercial ones avail, here's a free one:

plus: excellent photography, lots of natural DoF .....

Thanks Karsten that's really helpful, very interesting when you look at that videoscope since it seems pretty much the opposite of the more contrasty look I'd usually go for. I'll play about with my exposure settings and see how it looks.
I'll try that beauty filter too see if it does the trick.
Cheers!

yep, it reminds on that fancy 'flat cam' look, when cam is set to a flat profile but the contrasts are not re-set in post grading...
And a good example why scopes are essential:
my first impression was, naked eye, "hmm, contrasts ok, but some 'haze' …" noooo, blacks are grey, that simple. Perhaps the midtones too got a lil' rise ... hobbyist speaking here, me no grading expert!
fingers crossed you find a useful setting for your needs .....
