Hi, I'm using crumplepop and trying to get a simple vertical split screen to work, can anyone see what i'm doing wrong, I can only get one clip up instead of the 2. Screenshot attached.

Something to do with music being on my primary timeline? I'm cutting to music, no dialogue.

Need a screen shot. Post a .jpg that is no larger than 1200 pixels wide. That usually works for me. Audio should have no effect on a split screen video. Not sure what plugin you're using for this split screen exactly. Can you give us the name of the specific plugin from Crumplepop?
