Hi everyone, I hope someone here will be able to help me.

The things is when I export a stereo project in FCP Share or Send to Compressor, the stereo becomes two mono. No more stereo in audio. We have to do MXF file with 8ch because it is what the air playout asks for.

I tried few recipes but always the same result, two channels but no more stereo.

Thank you in advance.

To my knowledge XDcam mpeg HD 422 is always 8 mono channels to comply to Sony standard.

Channel 1 and 2 can be monitored as stereo.

You can also assign your left right to the desired mono tracks using roles to comply to the broadcaster specs...

my 2 cents

- "XDCAM MPEG HD 422" can also have only 4 mono tracks and be put back to pro disk
Last edit: 06 Jul 2016 01:22 by Francois. Reason: minimum number of tracks for XDCAM HD 422
