FCPX Crashes constantly with BMD Intensity Thunderbolt was created by truestory
After 3 years of near perfect operation FCPX now crashes every 3-5 minutes with the Intensity Thunderbolt interface..
This has occurred since upgrade to OSX El Capitan...
I am running 10.11.5 with FCPX 10.2.3...
I keep getting message saying
Final Cut Pro Quit unexpectedly while using the Decklink FcpxCMIO plugin..
I have removed and re installed the Black magic desktop software but still crashing constantly..
Has any one had these issues, it is extremely frustrating, especially when a client is sitting next to me..
I have attached a screen grab of the error message..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Cheers
Todd

We had exactly this problem on two different I-macs and I’ve heard others have the same issues, but it seems inconsistent.
Reverting to an earlier version of the BM 'Desktop Video' driver fixed the problem completely for us. Try version 10.4.3 which is still on the BM support page.

Make sure you Use the ‘Uninstall’ app to properly trash the outgoing driver.
It's not really a 'true' fix, but should get you working until BM sort out their bugs.
