Where are the audio keyframes? was created by NealF
Hello.
I'm pretty new to FCPX but this is the first time I started a new project and the video in the timeline isn't showing the audio.
I did fool around a bit and got a thin audio track to show up, but no waveform.

I'm trying to automate volumes very precisely so I need to see all the keyframes I've been adding. Without seeing them in the timeline I'm just groping in the dark.

Don't know what changed. I've been able to do this in the past.

Thanks.

Lower right corner of the timeline change clip appearance to show wider audio waveform.

- The keyboard shortcut of "Control-Option-up/down arrow keys" will loop you through the various track appearances.
- Go to Preferences, to the Editing section, turn on "Show audio waveforms."
- In the Clip Appearance menu, you can change clips hight. It is at the very bottom right of the Timeline pane. Looks like a tiny piece of film strip.
