MXF Viewer rather than convert

Having just rebuilt my machine with El Capitan I thought I would reinstall the wonderful Hamburg Pro Media viewer to enable me to view MXF files.... but I find that it no longer exists :(

I have installed the MXF plugin from Canon however this converts each MXF file in order to view it - taking time and CPU to do so. This affects my workflow, where I want to view MXF files in QuickTime (not FCP) natively before importing.

Does anyone know whether the viewer is still available to download anywhere? Searching online brings up the usual multitude of 'free' viewers / converters with dodgy translations....

Calibrated Software do a piece of software for MXF import but it is expensive - I only need a viewer.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

David.

UPDATE : It appears VLC natively includes MXF support, and functions fine for what I need it for.

Also the free version of Telestream Switch will also work.

A better option is to keep the card structure intact and then use the Canon XF Utility to screen/view your footage. This maintains timecode (which VLC does not do) and provides access to some metadata that is useful. It also handles multipart MXF files as a single clip, which VLC will not do either.
