how do u make the black screen blinking effect

Hello,

I have seen on many videos that on a high beat music, the footage has black screen flickers, how is that done ?

the way I know is

- make cuts in footage and hide alternative cuts, but I feel its time consuming
- Alternative use a plugin BPM from FXeffects,but with than the footage also moves up/down/left right


I need a quick fix to get footage to have those black blinking screen effects.

Also, what else effects can be be used for high beat music?

- Like RGB channel spilt
- ???

PS: forgot to mention, I watched the linked video - no black frames, just frames from a diff. clip. If you want black (or any other color) frames, just a stack a Solid generator over clip#1 and apply my plug-in....

Sounds like something you may be able to do in Motion, with Behaviors->Parameter->Audio.

I haven't tried this, but I guess it may be a matter or adding a parameter behavior to, say, opacity...

... when you watch robin's examples, it's plain vanilla 1 frame A, 1 frame B, 1 frame A, 1 frame B, 1 frame A, 1 frame B, ...
some are 1 frame A, 1 frame B, 1 frame A, 1 frame C, ....

… and what my plugin does automatically ....
Switching sources automatically by beat .... nice inspiration, Luis! And, indeed, not complicated.-
