FCPX freezes after rendering problems?

Had some rendering problems last week after moving a library: www.fcp.co/forum/4-final-cut-pro-x-fcpx/...after-moving-library

- deleted preferences
- deleted render files
- copied the library again
- worked about an hour adding new footage

Today FCPX won't start up fully. I see the libraries, timeline etc. but no footage at all. Just the darn spinning ball.

It's a 160GB project, 4K footage included. Probably the 8gb RAM? Any suggestions?

What are the capacity of your drives, and what are the percentages as free space?

Fusion 2TB, 1,5TB free
LaCie SSD 256gb, 50 gb free
LaCie SSD 500gb, 320gb free

OK, since this is after another issue, I'm thinking hardware. Do you have issues with any other apps on your system?

You could try using "FCS Remove", free from Digital Rebellion (dot com) to totally remove FCPX (won't touch Libraries or media), and reinstall it.

Have you run Disk Utility's First Aid process on all your drives?
How much RAM is installed?

I think the 8gb RAM is the problem. Ordered 32GB yesterday, will arrive tomorrow, saturday.

You should see more stability and smoothness after that, for sure.

Problem solved after updating with two 16gb bank (Kingston).
