I first would like to apologize I probably put this under the wrong area. I'm new in town. Was looking to find if any one else had them same issue I'm having or get me headed in the right direction.

Im having a Issue with Chroma keying in fcpx. when I record a video with the green screen in the back and lighting all set up it looks great. I import to final cut pro it looks good also, I check for hotspots and any other issues every thing looks great but when I add the keying to the green screen thats when the problem starts. my back ground where the green screen is still looks good but the person I'm recording starts to look flat/faded or kinda gray " sorry don't know the right word to describe this" Ive been searching the internet far and wide but not finding a solution Ive also been playing with the coloring in final cut pro I can make it look a little better but still no where near as good looking as it was before I add the keying.
Any information would be greatly appreciated and sorry again if I put this i the wrong topic.

When doing doing color-keying with my school kids, we do have the worst green screen possible :woohoo:
And FCPX does marvel! So, not meant 'noob!', but: you do the right stacking order? Background bottom, green top?

Sounds like the matte is too feathered, or some other matte tool needs to be tweaked, perhaps.

When I've had keyed clips look off color (muted or tinted) it's usually meant that the 'spill level' percentage it too high, try reducing that and see if that helps.

Thank you all for the advice so after trial and error I figured out the issue. went back to basics. I did not set my white balance on camera correct. this is what caused the quality to change when adding keying. The skin tone on my subject went gray, weird that would cause this problem but issue fixed now.:-)

Thank again for all the help the links you guys sent helped me helped learn some new skills :)
