Relink Problem was created by venkarnafel
I converted .mxf files into mp4 lower quality to make my performance better. Did my video in FCPX with mp4 files but after im done with the lower quality I wanted to relink the higher quality but its saying
"54 name matches were found, but 54 files are not compatible.
Relinked files must have the same media type and similar audio channels as the original files, and must be long enough to cover all the clips that reference the files.
Select a single item at a time to get information about why it is not compatible."
then I converted higher quility to mp4 and still shows the same message.
Any ideas how to make it work?

why don't you use FCPX built-in proxy feature?

What Karsten said. Working this way you have to manually re-edit based on TC. Unfortunately if you've already edited the MPEG-4 proxies there is no way around this.

- Absence of Quality is the essence of squareness.

You could maybe try this.
telemarq.com/products/fcpxchange/
I have not used it but it might just help.
I would be curious to hear if it works for you?

That app didn't work for me.
Used that same format the same video with higher quality that i needed and it didn't change it.
Looks like I need to start over
