He did say from the get go that this "version" of FCPX was not ready for the "pro" market.
I would not go so far that his Reputation was affected.

Taking a sideswipe (thats how I saw) at Larry Jordan was sad. The guys been taking flak from a lot of directions, for being open and honest. You may, or may not, believe him. I'll give him and Apple (and you!) the benefit of doubt.
