Hi, hi

Does any one know if this will work:
Ultra Studio 4k HDMI out to Consumer Panasonic Plasma (Panasonic-TXX-P42G15E)?
My Panasonic shows a garbled signal and an invalid signal error message on the screen.

www.manualslib.com/manual/650401/Panasonic-Tx-P42g15e.html

Any ideas if there is something that I can do to get this to work?

FCPX/Resolve all result in the same garbled pic.
I can see the picture displayed correctly on the BM device itself!

thanks

Paul

That TV only accepts certain signal formats. Sounds typical of I/o unit sending a signal format the TV can't handle. Be sure your BMD unit is set for a 1080 signal, with proper frame rate. See technical specs towards back of user manual. I bet Ultra Studio is sending a 4K signal.

In addition to Ben's advice, have you tried another cable? Some cheap HDMI cables struggle to even pass 1080 60p properly, or the connectors are just bad.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the input.
Pretty sure that I was going 1080p and my cable is I would say middle class.
Will do some more testing when I have a chance.

thanks again

Hi, hi

I suspect that my problem is related to this:

www.provideocoalition.com/blackmagic_we8...remove_the_band-aid/

I have this Balckmagic Device for several years now.
At one point I had a Blackmagic HDLink Pro HP on loan and did actually get a working signal to my Eizo monitor.

I will probably pick up a HDLink Pro HP on ebay at some point.
I think it is reasonable to assume that if it worked with the Eizo it will work with the Panasonic.

Worst case scenario if/when I replace the Eizo with a HP DreamColor, I have more options.

thanks again

Paul
