What exactly are you Sharing, and what Destination preset are you choosing, and what settings are you changing in the Share dialog windows?

Also hardware specs, software and OS versions would help.

It happened to me a few times that I had placed markers on clips in the timeline which moved out of the visible area during editing.
Sharing failed until I deleted these markers.
But it hasn't happended to me in the last two or three versions of FCPX.

That's very strange. I've never run into that. But if I do I'll know how to fix it :)

@inibojes
First, there should be info on the little pop-up saying Share Failed. Copy that code and do a Google search.
Second, I have often had YouTube shares fail. The last code told me it was because I had reached my upload limit to YouTube. I had only uploaded 3 other videos. To go around this, I shared a Master file using H.264 and uploaded it directly on YouTube through the browser.
I am under the impression FCPX is limited on what it can share to YouTube. I often get errors that the file size is too big, or the video is too long, or in this case I've uploaded too many times. Yet on YouTube's browser upload, I can share massive file sizes, length doesn't matter, and I can upload as often and as many files as I want.

Well, file source from external ssd, and save the project in internal ssd,
4K, H264, 25fps
MBP Retina 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB
Thanks.

In my experience, it is always better to share a master file to the desktop and then upload or convert from there. I find that when you combine functions inside FCPX in the Share process directly, you can get failed conversions. Some of the code for certain functions, like creating an optical disk, either DVD or BD messes up. By sharing to the desktop and then converting separates the export from the compassion conversion.
Uploading to YouTube or Vimeo seems to go better and look better on the web when uploading a master file and letting YouTube/Vimeo do the compression. YMMV
The other benefit is once the Master File in on the Desktop, you can do multiple conversions without having to re-export each time. It is also easy to copy/move the file.

Hope this helps, Greg
