Hi guys

I have received an email from Apple (LPX team) asking me for examples of AAF that don't open well in LPX. This following a feedback I sent in September last year. That is actually good news.

The thing is, last year opening even a simple AAF in LPX would often lead to terrible results, so in the end I threw them all away and did my mixes in FCPX.

So I had nothing left to send to Apple. I thought "it doesn't matter, I'll do it again and send them the AAFs", so I did export some timelines of the project I was working on: FCPXML -> X2Pro -> LPX

But surprisingly I don't find the problems I used to see last year. It can be my memory being faulty (not opening the right project), or maybe things improved since then explaining why I can't reproduce the issues ?

How is it for you ?

Hey Manu,

There have been some significant changes in X2Pro since last September, which could explain why this is happening.

Wow I wasn't even aware of that, thank you Ronny !

So I'm curious about the feedback of the others, if we're "there" yet, or if LPX is still to be used with great caution.

hi

Why not to open FCPX xml directly in LPX.
In the last LPX upgrades there were few major upgrades to the xml and how Logic opens FCPX xml.

I tested few projects and it worked very good. The only important thing is to assign the audio to roles.
Any role is a track in LPX, including automation panning and volume.

Because when you use large, complex FCPX projects, it still glitches. Where XtoPro is more stable and reliable, by a long shot.

Hello Gang,

Is there a way for have Logic show interleaved stereo via X2pro? I can use FCPXML to bring it into Logic and show interleaved stereo, but I'd really like to use x2pro to do it.

Thanks,
