FCPX 10.2.3 FS7 XDROOT FILE IMPORT PROBLEMS was created by deemonblack
Hi Guys this happened to me a few times now and it's starting to bug me!
So a client has given me a lacie drive with his rushes on.
1 folder with A7S II footage in and 1 folder with FS7 footage in.
I have copied this folder to my desktop.
Then opened a library and imported both folders into labelled events.
Waited until all importing and rendering is done and edited the 1st of 3 Projects.
Go to share the Project and all options greyed out - checked everything.
Nothing needs rendering, the project has the clapperboard and no nasty bits of media.
So exit the Library and reload the Library and all the fs7 material bar 3 is missing.
I can see it in the folder but FCPX can't find it???????
Any ideas - going nuts....
UPDATE: so certain files in the rushes folder will not import properly - I have no green Original files option and 2 red triangles for optimised and proxy. Any ideas??? Are they corrupted? I am at present putting one of the files through compressor.

This one is a mystery. My first idea is a possible permissions problem. Can you use Finder to verify your permissions to the files? Do a Get Info on all of them, inc'l any folders and ensure you have read/write access.

I think it is an issue with 8 files out of about 200 in the xdroot files. May be a bad card in the fs7?
I have no idea why but I sorted it by putting them through compressor. They are huge but they are there and fcpx is happy!
Thanks for the response.
