I'm using Final Cut 10.2.3 and none of my Plug-ins would open / expand in the inspector.
Does anyone have an idea how to correct this problem?
Thanks

Hi Motion
Welcome to the forums.
When you say that none of your effects will open or expand in the Inspector Pane, how exactly do you mean?
The control parameters for an effect should appear attached to a clip in the Inspector pane only after you have applied it. It will appear in a hierarchical order as applied and can be changed in order by dragging and dropping. You may need to scroll down in the Inspector Pane to see the Effect. Any parameter that can be modified will appear with controls in the Inspector.
In other words, you have to apply the effect to a clip in order to see it in the Inspector Pane.
If you do not see any effects after being applied to a clip and the clip is highlighted in your Timeline, then try deleting your preferences by holding down the "Option and Command" keys while you launch FCPX.
If on the other hand, you are trying to just see the effects parameters in the Inspector Pane without applying it to a clip, you need to instead right click on the effect and "Open a Copy In Motion" to be able to see and change parameters of the effect. You then need to "Publish" any parameters you want to add and then Save back to FCPX. This assumes you have purchased and installed Motion to the computer you are using. All effects are really created in Motion.
You can also highlight a clip then "Scrub" an effect to see a quick view of the effect in the viewer. It is also easy to apply an effect then delete it if you don't like it.
Hope this helps, Greg

Me Bad
You said Plug-ins, I read effects.
What Plug-in(s) are we talking about here?
You might also check with the developer.
Most of what I said about you needing to apply the Plug-in to a clip still applies. It may or may not open in Motion.
Apple programming is very "Contextually" aware and so aspects are hidden until needed.
Sorry, Hope this helps, Greg

All of them, lut utility, neat video, color finale, etc.
Downloaded the demo to try it before I buy it and none of them works

Sorry Motion
They should be there.
Here are a couple of videos showing them in action. If you do not see the same in your inspector, make sure you have either Quit FCPX after installing (You did follow the install instructions yes?) and perhaps shutting down the computer, then try again.
If deleting preferences hasn't helped, maybe you need to re-install FCPX.
Here are a couple of links…
This shows LUT Utility in Action

This shows all of the Plug-ins you mentioned…

Maybe a screenshot of your Inspector pane and Timeline would help.
Hope this helps, Greg

Have you contacted the developers of these demo versions to see what they have to say? That should be your very first action in this case.
