I just bought mLooks today. This got me thinking what are the 'must have' plug ins people are buying to get FCPX to be as flexible as possible? (I know this is highly subjective though).

1) mLooks seemed like a good place to start as it brings in a lot of different Red Giant style looks at an affordable price (plus it has been designed in Motion 5 so it should integrate well).

2) Automatic Duck is a good one to have in the arsenal (plus it is free). I downloaded it just in case, but have not used it yet.

3) I downloaded a couple of free Splitscreen effects by Simon Ubsdell from here, and have used them in one project already.

What other plug ins are people getting for FCPX? What about good noise removal, or hot pixel removal plug ins? What about Resolve Lite? Is anyone using this with FCPX?

What else is out there that works well directly with FCPX (not roundabout solutions that work with Motion)?

CHV's Quartz plugins, and CoreMelt. Those are my 2 must haves.

I do lots of VFX, so I will add:

Sapphire Edge
Industrial Revolution

I use Resolve 8.1 (not Lite) with FCP10. Great app if you know your way around with grading.

Now that Apple has (finally) released the full DSK's I cannot wait until Red Giant and Sapphire get their full plugin packages ready for FCP10. And hopefully by then we will have external broadcast monitoring as well ;)
