Hi there,

Odd one here that I can't fathom - but it could easily be me having done something inadvertently...

Running 10.1.4 on Mavericks (admittedly on my ageing MacPro 1,1) and it's been fine - but for no reason (other than me- see above!) my project viewer now enlarges to 200% when I blade a clip, or when I skim across a title or transition in the titles box -skimming on the timeline is fine.

Stumped, I am, stumped.

Any pointers?

That's quite an old version of FCPX and I seem to recall there may have been a bug that would not allow the viewer size to stick in all circumstances - but I am not 100% sure of this. If you set the viewer to 100% and this continues to change, try resetting your preferences by restarting FCPX while holding OPTION and COMMAND keys and choose DELETE PREFERENCES in the resulting dialog box.

Thanks for that - will give it a go. I do need to update but it's non-trivial for me to go to El Cap or Yosemite as it's a hacked machine, and all was relatively stable until this. Whatever the viewer is set to, it simply magnifies as soon as I hover the blade tool over the TL - and the same when previewing effects. I still think I might've inadvertently pressed something, but I can find no key combination or setting that would have that effect.
