Final Cut not reading Sony PXW-X70 SD Cards in AVCHD format

Hi all,

For a while now I have noticed that FCPX has not been ingesting the info off my SD cards readily.

When I go to import media, FCPX sees the card, but the card doesn't "load" - in other words the little circle "pie graph" doesn't build and the camera files don't show in the list, or the list doesn't "populate".

Not knowing if it would assist, I installed the Sony XDCAM Drivers, and it did help for the first time after the driver installation. But now FCPX is back to not reading the card properly again.

This has happened to me since going to 10.2.2 (and it happens on 10.2.3...but doesn't happen in 10.2.1

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Just wanted to add that all other software reads the cards ok on this same computer and it's only cards from the X70 that FCPX can't read.

Have you updated your X70 to firmware version 2?
I have an X70 and that fixed import issues.
