Help Me Figure This Out?

Hello! I'm sort of new to FCP X and I was just wondering how I could do the following:

Basically, I want to have ALL of my files from FCP X on my LACIE 3TB drive. There are the "Final Cut Project" folders in my computers' HD, which is taking up almost 100GBs of space!

How do I make it so that FCP X automatically saves everything to my 3TB external drive? I never use FCP X without being connected to my drive so I'd like my external HD to be dedicated to my movie files and such.

All of the raw footage and the final videos are on my external HD, but none of the project files are. How do I move them over safely AS WELL AS make sure FCP X saves them automatically to my external drive in the future?

What version are you using? FCP libraries can be on any drive. You can assign the dream be for the libraries and for the media.
