FCPX keeps reanalyzing optical flow on clips. was created by bcassin
I have a few clips with optical flow applied to them. I let FCPX analyze them, after that finishes and if I quit and then reopen the project it keeps having to go back and reanalyze those clips!
Is anyone experiencing this as well?
Sometimes it forgets what has already been rendered as well.

Hi Brian,
Not a common issue AFAIK. You might try the obvious steps to correct unexpected behavior, starting with deleting your FCP X preferences. Quit FCP X, then open it again while holding the ALT + CMD keys pressed down. A message will appear asking if you want to delete your FCP X preferences. Confirm and let the application open. Then see if this solves your issue.
If this does not solve your issue, post back with your system specs and your OS/FCP X version numbers. Also tell us where your FCP X Libraries and your FCP X Cache folders are stored.

I just finished delivering the show that had this particular issue, so I'll keep an eye out on the next one to see if it keeps happening and if so institute your preference reset.
for the record --
MacBookPro Retina mid 2014
OSX 10.11.3
FCPX 10.2.2
Library is local on the desktop
Cache is on the RAID, same RAID as the media.

Great! Keep us updated if you still see these problems on your next project.
