Hello, I'm owner of an A6000. I have FCPX and don't understand how to get the best settings.
Sony A6000 is recording in AVCHD Format. Open that container (Mac) it shows MTS files. I have save those files on my local disk and can import those files in FCPX. But.......... is this the way to go? I'm reading there are converts to Apples ProRes format.
Can anybody tell me what I have to do?

definitely no!
Never ever 'orphanize' mts from its surrounding files&folders structure. For good reason MacOS 'hides' this structure as a single 'file' (=pkg)
When FCPX is running and you insert the SDcard, the Import dialogue pops up and you're allowed to select clips (or parts of clips) to import.
If you prefer to create backups of you recordings (guess, everybody does…), just drag'n drop the complete cards content onto some drive/into some folder. Again, to import in FCPX, just browse to that backup and it will behave like the original card.
Orphaned mts create all sorts of issues, green flashes, loss of meta-data (e.g. location), loss of frames, etc etc.

Thanks for your answer. When I connect my camera (with SD) FCPX shows the SD card but no files can be imported.
When I connect an card reader with SD card it won't recognize.
Do I have install something?
(It's a microsd in an SD adapter)
