no bug, can not re-enact that on my system.
first of all, a mask creates a 'hole' - so, what's underneath the masked clip? the projects timeline would be interesting .....

I've disabled that Shape Mask and used Alex 4D instead. No issue...
So it definitely looks like a bug.
I sent feedback to Apple.

Like Karsten, I can't replicate this issue. Just like you're other one. I think serious system maintenance is called for with this many buggy issues. Repairs on all drives with Disk Utility, then Disk Warrior, verify free space is minimum 15% on all drives, etc.
What FCPX and OS X versions are you running?

El Capitan and 10.2.2
To be honest I don't have so many bugs with FCPX.
I get your point about maintenance, but if there is one guy serious about it, it's me. I maintain my system really often using Onyx, Disk Utility, Digital Rebellion, etc.
Also, the problem described in the other post has always been there for me, also before my clean install (Mountain Lion if I remember well)
