Delete folder in "Music and Sound" was created by Robes
Hi All-
I recently upgraded my iMac from Mavericks to El Capitan. With that, I upgraded FCPX to 10.2.2 and Motion to 5.2.2.
I now have two identical "Final Cut Pro Sound Effects" folders in the Music and Sound window. I tried to control click on either folder but don't get any contextual menu pop up to select delete folder.
Anyone know how I can trash 1 of these folders?
TIA, Robes

First, hold the Opt and Cmd keys at the same time, while you launch FCPX. A window will pop up asking if you want to trash pref files. Trash them.

Thanks for the reply BenB. It seems you or Tom always come to my rescue.
I tried your suggestion. First attempt result; opened the drop down window of iTunes within "Music & Sound", did not affect either two folders, it closed my Firefox browser window (??).
2nd attempt result; opened drop down box of iTunes again and closed my Firefox browser window. BUT, It did remove (delete) 1 of the 2 duplicate folders!!
Thank you very much for the tip,
Robes

What does Firefox have to do with any of this?

Well, you wouldn't think anything. Restarting FCPX & resetting prefs closed Firefox's window each time, just one of those bizarre things & thought it was worth mentioning- for that reason. I'm not crazy enough to want the why? on that...
