Viewer Black? was created by dondré.gumbs
I just updated to OS X El Captain Ver. 10.11.3, which made me update my Final Cut Pro X to Ver. 10.2.2. I had been editing a project in an older version. After updating, I am not able to see some of my clips in my viewer, specifically clips I had imported from my SD card. When I switch to Proxy view, it says "Missing Proxy," and when I switch to original media, all of my video files from my SD card show up as black in the Viewer, but have a thumbnail in my Timeline (multicam). The events files also show up normally.
What do I need to do to get the clips to show in the Viewer? For the "Missing Proxy," I'm pretty sure I just need to recreate proxy files of the original media, but what about the original/optimized media? Any help would be great! Also if you need any extra information, please let me know.

Hi Dondré, welcome to the forum.
1. The first thing you need to do is refresh the FCP X preferences. To refresh the preferences, close FCP X and launch it again while holding the CMD+ALT keys pressed down. A message will appear asking if you want to delete the preferences, confirm and let FCP X open. This should take care of the black clips issue in most cases. If this does not solve your issue:
2. Do you still have the SD card? If so: insert the SD card, group-select all the black clips in the browser, then choose File > Import > Re-import from Camera/Archive.
