FCP X Crashes and project vanishes

FCP X Crashes and project vanishes was created by Socaldougg
One of our editors had a crash after adding an MP3 file to her project.
She was unable to find either the Event or the Project after the crash. She did all the standard stuff, trashed preferences, ran Digital Rebellion's Crash Analyzer, and Housekeeping. Crash analyzer said the project had a corrupt file. She was unable to find any backups or execute a project repair.
There were no backups in her ~/Movies/Final Cut Backups. It's as if the Event and Project never existed.
Anyone have a similar experience and find the cause for this happening?
Other information: She was editing on a MacPro running FCP X 10.1.3 on OS 10.9.5. The media and Library were on a local RAID
