FCPX REFUSE PLAYING TIMELINE ONLY COLOR WHEEL

I use El Capitan, latest FCPX update on an Imac 5k. Used it with no big problems. After new years brake I suddenly have an ongoing trouble FCPX refuse to play the timeline, showing the famous color wheel and have to be forced to quit. Had absolute nothing like that earlier. I trashed the preferences and that seemed to have solved it for a while then same problem pops up again. Anyone else out there with same problem and a more stable solution ?

I'm not having any issues, but I'm not on the same system. Can you give us details about the Library/Event/Project you're working with?

Have you updated all your third party plugins and apps to EC compatible versions?

Does this occur on other projects or are you seeing the issue opening the same project each time? This will help to narrow down some possible solutions. If it's project specific, there are a number of things you can do. If it happens on all projects, there are different remedies.

After the last time i trashed preferences the phenomena seems to have gone away. Haven't occurred since I wrote here. Had the problem coming going for the hole week before that. Is working in the same projects so nothing have changed. I did one thing more than trashing prefs delete all render files, the old trick, it could have been there but just now i don´t know. Just praying everything will go on working.
