Hey all!

This is my first post. Tried digging around both here and the internet to find a solution for this but so far no luck with the couple of things that I've found.

Until about 2 weeks ago, I had no problems uploading a video to my YouTube channel straight from the FCP timeline. This was important, as my workflow was built around the idea of being able to upload overnight (finish editing, set it uploading, get up in morning and finish with thumbnails and other tags and so forth the next day).

Then one day--no good. Now every single time I try and upload, it fails at 99%. Here are things I have noticed and/or tried so far to fix it:

1. I've watched the background window. At 50%, the .move file is created as per normal and is fine.
2. The share SAYS it's uploading the file all the way to that 99% and uploads (supposedly) 99% of the file size. Then it suddenly dies in that last 1%.
3. However, in the YouTube channel, there appears to be no upload attempted as far as YouTube is concerned--no aborted upload, no failed upload. Nothing.
4. I've tried changing the YouTube password and then changing the password in the "details" tab of the YouTube destination. No change.
5. I've deleted the YouTube destination entirely and then re-added it with the channel and password. No change (except now it won't let me choose ANY category as a default for the YouTube videos, which it did allow before).
6. I CAN upload the .mov file directly to YouTube's upload--but that's a significant workflow change and defeats the entire purpose of working so hard to get it all into a one-step upload that was doing so well.

I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help me figure out what to do? Is it worth deleting the preferences entirely? Is there something else that could be causing this? Is it possible that there's some specific file thing that's doing it? As far as I'm aware, except for the password changes and re-add of the destinations as listed above, I have changed NOTHING in my workflow or my programs. So I don't know what is suddenly causing the problem--but I could REALLY use some new ideas to try. Thanks!

Does it seem to happen with all projects, or just this one? What sort of setup are you using? Have you tried clearing FCPX preferences?

Google recently changed the authentication process for external software and it essentially blocked older versions of Final Cut Pro X from completing the authentication and upload process.

Final Cut Pro X 10.2.2 appears to have addressed this by completely replacing the Authentication system for Youtube.

Final Cut Pro X 10.2 and earlier was like this:
