Final Cut X export problem-PLEASE HELP!!

Hi everyone,
i'm new to the forum and very glad to be here! I've read it for a while now and am very grateful for the knowledge shared here.

I have an issue when I'm trying to export in FCP X. I've just upgraded to a more powerful macbook pro and since then I find that when I try to "Share" then "Export Movie" Nothing happens.

To clarify i see the menu -it is not greyed out-Just when I click on "Export Movie" Nothing happens-no error message-it just doesn't complete or even begin the task...

Any tips would be very gratefully appreciated, this is driving me nuts!
