Colored bars for keywords, favorites etc. not appearing on clips in Event browser

I've got the latest version of FCPX installed on a Mac Pro running Yosemite (10.10.5) and I've noticed that when I keyword clips or mark them as favorites, those little colored bars that identify the clips as having been so marked, are not showing up.
The collections are being made, but it would be more convenient, of course, to have those bars on the clips to indicate that they're keyworded and/or favorites.
Any idea on why this may occur? Thanks in advance! Bob Krist

Go to the View menu, make sure Marked Ranges is set to show them.
