searching clips by keywords in the browser

I have logged hours of interviews by selecting ranges on multicam clips & assigning a keyword of what is being said.

In the browser when I go to search for keywords I do not get any results. I am not sure what I'm missing here.

In the Libraries pane you have a list of keyword collections, easy to see.

Keywords are not searchable in the browser using the text field. You'll want to open the Search Filter window to specify what existing Keywords to filter for.

This is really not the best process for interviews. You end up with a separate clip in each collection, like having a clip in a bin. A couple of ways to do this. One is to use notes for the clips; this is searchable. The other way is to mark sections of interviews as favorites and change the word favorite to whatever you want to identify the sound bite.

Yes I'm beginning to see how the keywords aren't going to work out too well - can you assign notes to a selected range within a clip?

You can have notes for each keyword selection. So you select bites from the John Smith interview. The bites are keyworded JohnSmith do they go in the same collection. Each selection in there can have its own note. If you search the event or collection by text it finds the text in notes.

Would anybody be willing to do a quick google hangout with me? I'm still not getting this & it would be super helpful to get it right before editing.
