FCPX freezing since update to OS X 10.10.5 along with iTunes

Hi everyone, I've been having some extremely disruptive problems ever since upgrading from OS X 10.10.1 to 10.10.5 and hoping someone can help. FCPX is basically unusable now. Seconds after trying to import or playback any media, video starts experiencing green rectangular lines across the video with extreme distortion, which turns into an unending spinning beach ball. FCPX doesn't fully crash but never comes out of the spinning ball state, and a force quit is eventually needed. Then, the software can't even be opened back up unless I restart.

I also want to bring up that iTunes has also not been functioning since the update, because I believe the issues are related and I've been able to diagnose this one further. Seconds after opening iTunes, the entire computer consistently freezes then restarts by itself. I discovered that iTunes worked when booting the OS in safe mode, but did not work when creating a new OS user. So with that info, I realized it was likely a software incompatibility and was able to trace the problem down to one file in System/Library/Extensions: AMDRadeonX4000.kext. When removing that file, iTunes is able to run without freezing, though FCPX won’t open at all.

I’ve tried a complete reinstall and library rebuild of both FCPX and iTunes to no avail. It really seems that the GPU and this particular driver was broken with the OS update but I don’t know how to fix it. I’ve tried editing the info.plist inside the .kext based on some info from mackintosh forums but it hasn’t fixed anything. Has anyone else experienced this with the Yosemite update? My next plan of action is to try an upgrade to El Capitan, but it’s not ideal with the amount of important software that I need for my work. Posting hardware info and a User Diagnostic log from the console about FCPX below, was never able to produce one for iTunes. First time posting for help in a forum so let me know if I need to give any other info that would help. Any insight on the issue will be greatly appreciated.
