How to delete accidental blade cut in music track? was created by pipkato
I’m a newbie to FCPX editing.
At some stage during an FCPX edit I accidentally created a blade cut in an audio music track and would like to remove it.
The audio is the Primary Storyline since I’m cutting picture to the audio track. I’m guessing I could just delete the section beyond the cut and drag out the audio clip to the end of the music again, but I’d lose the timing markers I created on that section.
I’ve used the ‘Delete’ key to remove similar blade cuts in video before but that doesn’t seem to work on this audio track.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks!

You should be able to select the edit point and press the delete key next to =. Maybe a screenshot of what you're doing will help.

Tom,
You're absolutely right and I feel a little stupid. I'd been using 'Fn' 'Left Arrow' - don't ask me why. I don't have much experience with FCPX but I had used that Delete option extensively some months ago to remove blade cuts on a long multicam sequence. Something in my head convinced me I had been using 'Fn' 'Delete' so I never even thought to try the simple 'Delete' option this time.
Thanks for your help!
