HELP! Importing from FCPX 10.0.8 to 2.2.2 woes was created by Frankiemarion
In going through the updating process a lot of my projects have been updated and confirmed by the newest version of FCPX, however there are a lot of projects that did not make the upgrade. There is no rhyme or reason from what I can tell as to what projects and footage made it and what did not. When I go to manually update the files I get an error code for all the footage. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Frankie
Sorry no one has attempted to help, but first we need lots more info, like what error codes / messages did you see??? What effects are applied to the original clips? Any 3rd party plug-ins??
Really can't provide help without knowing the exact problems.
You are updating through multiple versions and even OSs here and there are lots of issues that get created. As just 1 example is that the "Library" structure for FCPX changed something like 3 or 4 times since 10.0.8. Many things just do not translate. The update just between previous version to the next sometimes was problematic like 10.0.9>10.1.
I going to suggest that you start by searching for posts here concerning updating to 10.1.
Another good resource is… Richard Tayler's fcptv site and scroll down to older postings… fcpx.tv
There were several effects that would not translate and many 3rd party plug-ins that had issues. Sometimes it just takes disabling the offending plug-in/effect and then it may update.
Have you checked your system logs?
Not sure how anyone can help without further info.
Hope this helps, Greg

agreed. need some more information, but all is not lost. if you can isolate which libraries failed, you may want to report it to apple. be as specific as possible with your steps. for tips about sending feedback, check out:
