Corrupt Archive Library was created by cmpfireman
I have a large Archive Library containing multiple Events and Projects that crashes FCPX when I try to open it. It opened successfully about 2 weeks ago but now it won't work. I have tried:
Copying
Deleting Transcoded media
Moving to a faster drive (Thunderbolt)
Trashing CurrentVersion.flexolibrary (FCPX creates a new one w/ brand new time stamp on opening attempt then crashes)
All the media for the individual events and projects appears to be intact inside Show Package Contents.
Is there away to associate these folders with a new Library? Please help. Thanks you.

Go into your library (show package contents) thru the finder and manually delete all the render folders and any analysis folders in each event. You can try one event at a time if you suspect a particular one may be causing the crash. Then empty your trash and restart FCPX. You'll have to re-render and re-analyze any clips whose files have been trashed (although rendering is only necessary if you can't playback smoothly and FCPX will do it upon export automatically - though it remains unrendered in the timeline).
Another option is to use Pro Maintenance tools from Digital Rebellion to repair your projects and events. They offer a free trial and it works pretty well.
In the future you should consider deleting at least the unused render files (and maybe ALL render files if your projects are complete) from within FCPX before closing libraries.
Let us know if that helped.

Thanks so much. Yeah, I got snafu'd by not archiving individual Libraries. Lesson Learned.
