I was using the webcam today and forced my mac to powerdown...I am wondering did any of the webcam footage I was shooting get saved anywhere? i am looking but do not see it

What were you doing and what app were you using? If just using the webcam for FaceTime/Skype for example, then no.
If recording, what program. Different programs behave differently. Had you saved and named the recording prior to shutting down?

All of this info is needed to see if you have a file somewhere on your computer.

Hey and thanks for the reply...i was using FCPX...i didnt save just powered down...about 45 minutes into the video....dont ask why lol does it auto save somewhere?

Have you looked in the Final Cut Pro backup folder? I did a test-clicked import-clicked the facetime camera, my onboard rMBP, let it record a short clip, held down the power key, then rebooted and nothing, it did not save...

I am assuming you did the same-held down the power button and a reboot occurred??
