MXF Re-linking Issue

Hi all

I'm having trouble re-linking a FCPX project edited on a different machine to the original clips on my machine. I get an 'Incompatible File' error msg which I've attached. My process was dragging the FCPX library to my RAID, open up the library then begin to re-link everything which gave me the error msg. The files on the drive that was connected to the other computer are exactly the same as whats here on my RAID. I then took the whole drive from the other computer where the project was edited on, plugged that into my computer and opened the library that they were working on. This time it didn't show the red missing media msg but it did show empty clips on the timeline and in the events window. The weird thing is that in both these ways some MXF clips re-link and some don't. GoPro footage seems to re-link fine in both instances.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm editing native MXF files from an F55. I'm guessing it is an El Capitan issue as I just plugged the drive that the edit was done on into a machine running Yosemite and it opened fine.
