I'm using a large PDF of a book in an upcoming video, to illustrate behind my talking heads. I have the View set to Proxy (not Optimized/Original), and the PDF pages won't show. If I click on the PDF, I can't render it as Proxy. So I can't view the pages when they're in the timeline! Only if I switch away from Proxy to Optimized/Original.

Does anyone know a workaround here, some way I can continue to work in Proxy mode, whilst viewing my PDF images live?

Try converting the PDF to an image file like PNG or TIFF.

It's a 200 page book, I'd rather keep it as a PDF. But if I can't, converting the pages to images might be the best solution! Thanks.
