bake in NR from FCPX project

bake in NR from FCPX project was created by Cinexa
Heres my problem. I want to edit a scene and then once locked, reduce noise on all used clips only and then export/bake in the NR. I then will use these baked in clips to start my color correction/looks. I basically do not want to render the NR as an effect while im CC. I want this baked into the clips already...any ideas? Thanks

You could easily do your noise reduction, then disable NR on all clips to do your color correction and re-enable the NR before exporting.
Or you could easily do your color correction first and then apply noise reduction.
But if you really want to export your scene with baked in noise reduction and then do your color correction on the exported scene, here's how you can do this:
1. The dirty way (free but slow)
- Edit your scene, reduce noise on all clips in the scene and export the entire scene as a master file.
- Then import the master file back in FCP X and drop it onto your timeline.
- Do your color correction on the entire clip. If you need to apply different color corrections to individual shots in the scene, use the Blade tool to cut up the scene into shots.
Alternative:
instead of exporting the entire scene as one master file, range-select every clip in the scene and export each clip as an individual master file. Then import the master files with the baked in noise reduction back into FCP X to do your color correction.
2. The best way (not free but fast)
- Get Primaries Exporter: www.primariesexporter.com
The download is free, but to use it for your purpose you will need to purchase the Video Export module inside the app.
- Then edit your scene, reduce noise on all clips in the scene and export every clip from the scene as ProRes 422 files using Primaries Exporter. You can do this right within FCP X, as you will see in the video included in the link. Every shot will be exported as a separate ProRes file with the noise reduction baked in.
- Then import the ProRes files with the baked in noise reduction back into FCP X to do your color correction.
