Hi.. very new to this... have been reading an article about extremely slow export speeds from FCPx 10.2.2 to external devices... now I can not find it...Der!!!

I have just upgraded to 10.2.2... am trying to export a 6.05Gb master code to a USB so we can watch it on the TV... basic stuff for most.... challenging for me at the moment.
When I had 10.2.1... no issue... did it easy
10.2.2 will not even load onto my USB with out getting messages advising the export has failed.

I am not up with all the jargon... I am new... and I am about to throw this out the window!!.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... I am even having trouble navigating this site.... so send help and Megaton.... Seraph and any other sedative please.

Hi Dash
Welcome to the forums and FCPX
We need lots more info.
What share(export) settings, type of footage. DVD/BD/Master??? img file??? These all have different requirements for bandwidth.
What type of USB? 2 or 3? Is this a thumb drive? Have you tried a different device?
How are you trying to transfer to the USB device; direct via share menu or drag and drop?
Are you using any 3rd party plug-ins? Photos on timeline?
Have you tried using a different user account? Delete preferences?
Here is a list of tips to try, let us know what you try and results.

Just to add that different TVs specify different compatible video formats that they will accept for playback. .

If you could check your manual and let us know what those formats are, it will be easier to offer useful feedback.
