Multi user editing, Backups and other questions was created by Schwalbach
Hi,
I have several questions regarding some workflows:
1- What is the best workflow if I won't to edit the same project at the office and at home?
I have all the footage in both places, so I suppose I just have to have the projects shared somewhere
such as dropbox right? How exactly do I do it?
2- I recently bough a WD MyCloud with the aim to backup (mirror) some hard drives or even only specific folders.
But I can't get it to work. Does anyone have any experience with these drives?
3- Aside from the myclound drive I also bought a new usb drive to mirror my VIDEO HD. I want to have a updated
backup of the video hard drive at all times (to be safe). What is the best way to do that. Should I get a specific app?
Thank you

I can see just 2 safe solution
- cut a project into pieces (scenes) and work with them separately.
- having a library and all the media on a movable drive

1a- USB 3 or T-Bolt portable drive, maybe a small portable RAID.
1b- Have identical Libraries on both Macs, then just move an XML between the two.
2- Use backup software like Carbon Copy Cloner, that you can put on a schedule.
