Circle Shape Keeps Disappearing

Circle Shape Keeps Disappearing was created by osborndav
I often use the circle shape to highlight notes in my guitar tutorials. However I've been running into a problem where the circle (which I make via the shapes generator) will begin getting "cut off" once it reaches a certain point on the screen (please see attached screen shot). I usually try to copy/paste circle #1, then move the circle to the next note. I repeat this until all notes have a circle (in real time each note will be circled as it's played). However after a certain point the shape will disappear.. Any ideas?
Thanks guys!

that is indeed 'mysterious' when you notice it first time. But simple to explain:
you add the generator - which fills an invisible frame! (dotted line)
when you resize the circle by resizing that frame AND drag the generator by its on-screen-control, you soon reach the border of that invvisible frame ... chop!!!
workaround/quick fix:
don't move the generator but the its whole frame; select in timeline, select Transformation Tool - notice the blue bubbles?
now, you can move the circle AND its invisble frame anywhere withoutt losing parts ...
workaround/general fix:
The culprit is, resizing the generator by the Video-settings, whiich effect the whole frame, not only the circle. best-practice would be: open a copy of that generator in Motion and publish both 'Size' sliders (for fill and outline)....
Do you own M5?
No?
Added here & in the plugin depsoitory a modified version called Shapes&Sizes, which offers a slider to size the shape WITOUT using the Video_tab .....

If you're scaling the image using the transform function, don't position it using the on screen control, position it using the transform function.

This is why I don't use transforms on text clips. I made a text clip with all transforms published. Works better in my workflow.

Thank you so much Karsten! This has been a HUGE help and is going to save me ALOT of time. I was having to continually create new shapes in order to get around this 'mystereous phenomena'. Believe me, it's laborious enough having to place circles around each individual note without having to deal with extra problems lol! Thanks again!!!
