FCPX import window non responsive

FCPX import window non responsive was created by Adambk

I imported some media into the wrong library and deleted it. After that the fcpx import window became non responsive. It opens and I can select media, but when clicking import selected it just does nothing. The button clicks but that's all. I've deleted preferences and restarted my iMac. I'm on fcpx 10.2.2

Verify any background processes that may still be running.

Nothing is running in the background. Same issue. FCPX just isn't importing footage. It also won't allow me to create a new event name in the import window.
