I have a series of clips I've copied to a new timeline. There are a whole bunch of gaps between the clips. Deleting the clips manually isn't a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure X doesn't have a remove all gaps function, but I was told that if lifted the last clip to a story line above, I could then hold down the delete key on the previous clip and it would then ripple delete the other gaps. That doesn't seem to work for me. Any other suggestions? I'm working on a MacBook Pro. thx

Can you post a screenshot of the timeline? Are these connected clips? You're talking about?

If all the gap clips are in the primary storyline, how about opening the timeline index, enter "gap" in search field, select all then delete

How exactly are you getting clips into the Timeline? All at once, drag-and-drop, keyboard shortcut (which one), one at a time?

I typically go through a timeline of selects and will bring my selects of those selects up to the secondary timeline. I then lasso the elected clips and drop them into a new time line. There are now gaps where the other clips used to be with the selected clips on the timeline above. I then drop them into the new timeline and just need to remove the gaps. I'm sure there's a better way to do this, but it works for me. Here' the timeline with the gaps:

OK, that's confusing... but if it works for ya, use it!
But I think I see what you're doing. Yeah, a command to delete all gap clips would be nice to have.
