Bug when dragging titles in the viewer

Bug when dragging titles in the viewer was created by joenca
Has anyone else seen this bug? When selecting a connected title in the timeline and then dragging it in the viewer, sometimes only the box outlining the title moves. When playing back or skimming the actual title moves to the box's position, but when exporting or after restarting FCP the title is back to where it was before being dragged.
This bug does not always occur, and I only started noticing it recently, but it is quite nasty as what is played back in the viewer is not what is actually exported.
I've seen this bug on two separate iMacs, both running FCP X 10.2.2 ond OS X 10.10.5.

Screen shot of your Timeline? Specs on iMacs? Where is your media and Library located?

To clarify, the bug affects the placement of the title on screen in the viewer. Replicated on one late 2009 iMac and a 5K Retina iMac.
The attached screen shot shows the problem. It was created without any media as follows:
New project with a custom black generator for background. Added a basic title (Center) and trimmed it. Copied the title and pasted it in later in the timeline. Changed the text in the Inspector to Left. Dragged the title in the Viewer to the left. Exported and opened the export. Clearly the timeline is not showing what is being exported. Shutting down FCP X and reopening resets the title so that it appears centered in the Viewer.

That is odd, I've never seen that before. Do a Shift-Z in the Viewer to make sure you're not zoomed out or in or something. That is weird.

No zooming involved. The viewer shows the title to the left where it was dragged; the export shows it centered. Rendering doesn't change the position in the viewer, but restarting FCP X shows the title centered.
When the bug appears, dragging the title only shows the box outline being moved at first.

I can only think of two things to try. Trashing FCPX prefs, and running First Aid on all drives in Disk Utility.
How much RAM in each Mac, and what drive/type is the data/libraries on?

Thanks, but seeing as this bug shows up on two totally different machines (one's got a Fusion drive, the other a regular hard driv, btw), and only occurs sometimes, I won't trust a dragged title to stay put unless Apple releases an official fix. Since no one else seems to experience this bug, that might take a long time, though.
Until then, double-clicking the title before dragging seems to avoid the issue, but I'll still have to double- and triple-check the placement of all my titles from now on, just to be sure.
