Hi,

I have a footage that is shot and edited in 2K - 2048x1080

In the small view window its fine but when I full screen it it automatically adds 2 small black bars on the top and bottom which I assume is normal because probably my monitor is just a 1920x1080 monitor.

I exported the master as the original resolution 2048x1080 then converted the file to 1920x1080 with a software that i regularly use but in the end the 1920x1080 file still has the black bar. I'm wondering why this is?

Is there a way i can remove the black bars? Because I tried uploading it to youtube and in youtube I still see the black bar when I full screen it on my iPhone. I actually want a real full frame image when I full screen it..

I tried changing the project setting to 1920x1080 and yet it still has the black bar but weirdly when I click export master file the resolution is not following my project setting. It's 1920x1013 for some odd reason..

Please advice! Thanks and much appreciated.

When editing footage in a different aspect ratio than the project, to remove letter/pillar-box bars make sure the 'Spatial Conform' property in the clip inspector is set to fill or none. You can use 'Command A' to select all the clips in your timeline and change them all at once.
Hope this helps,
