Stabilization doesn't crop automatically. Is it a bug?

Hi all,

I am editing a video and turned on stabilization for one of the clips and it is stabilizing but it is not automatically cropping, so the image is moving all over the place during play. I've never experienced FCP doing this, is there anyway to set the stabilization so that it crops like it used to?

does switching between interiacam and smooth cam work? upload the original media somewhere and report it to www.apple.com/feedback/finalcutpro.html

yeah, I can change to inertiacam and it functions properly but the smoothcam still moves the frame around without cropping

This happens when the parts of the footage are too shaky for it to fix, there are 2 things you can do, manually keyframe the 'scale' and 'position' parameters in the inspector under 'transform', or split the clip up and remove the shakiest parts.
