Hi wondering if you all love the upgrade, I hate updating osx every time I do apple takes things away that I liked and takes more of my personal information (geo tracking for instance) wondering what you think.
Thanks DF

What version are you using now? What OS? Do you meet the new system requirements?

Of course? 10.2 won't run on Navericks. Requires Yosemite. Apple won't sell old versions of the software.

Hi Tom, I don't think you understand my question, do you like 10.2? I know I have to update my osx and the app that's what I don't want to do but will if others love 10.2.
Thanks

Yes, I think it's worth having. It added some features, fixed a few things. Not a huge upgrade in my view, but it's solid. The word from developers though is be wary of El Capitan for the time being.

Yes, El Capitan is beta at the moment, and some third party add-ons don't work correctly. Probably won't until shortly after El Capitan is publicly released. Although I will say I'm liking 10.11 and the slight performance boost (slight). 3rd party stuff aside, FCPX/Motion/Compressor all run great. Logic has major issues, still. But it is all beta at the moment, that is expected.

In my opinion it's always worth updating the latest version of FCPX as soon as you can. Bug fixes, stability and speed improvements alone are always welcome.
As far as the operating system goes, OS X goes from strength to strength. Some of it's really subtle though and it's not until you go back to using an earlier version that you realise just how much better it is.
The only real rule is don't upgrade mid project and don't update to a version of OS X that's more recent than the version of FCPX you're running. Which is to say I'll be sticking with Yosemite until the update of FCPX that comes out after El Capitan is released.
Otherwise, why not be running FCPX at the best it can be?
